Photography–The Portrait: Looking Out, Looking In
- Skillful photographs use the relationship between light and its absence to
extract a singular moment of time and place. This workshop will explore figures
and faces, creating portraits of the self and others that reflect personal
expression and discovery. Each participant should bring a digital camera or
camera phone, memory card and USB cable (or other method of transferring images
to a computer, such as a card reader).
Beginning and experienced photographers welcome!

Painting–Unusual Correspondence:
Messages in Shape &
Form - Participants will craft creative personal
statements in the form of 2- and 3-dimensional structures that
explore layers of texture, color and design. Working with
acrylic paint, 145 lb. watercolor paper, fond and found objects,
our final products will include letters and postcards containing
real and imagined elements. Each participant should bring copies
of their favorite photos, interesting scraps of paper to collage
and both rubber and postage stamps. Beginning and non-painters
