Carpooling to the 2016 Winter Getaway

December 30, 2015 BY Taylor Coyle

Need a ride? Have an extra space or two in your car? Flying in and looking to rent a car or share expenses on an airport shuttle? Taking public transit and looking to connect with other participants? Comment below to connect with others.

Please note, that over the years participants have often waited until the last minute to use the carpool board. However, the sooner you post, the more likely you are to find someone to share a ride with.

See our Travel Page for information on transportation to the Winter Getaway.

Am arriving at Absecon 3:08 p.m. Jan. 15. Would like to join anyone else who might be arriving there at that time. Am not sure how to get transportation to the hotel and would appreciate guidance and /or companionship. Would be glad to share a taxi or whatever.

I live in Montclair, NJ, exits 148/151. Anyone who can give me a ride will enjoy a toll-free, all gas-paid trip to/from Stockton. This is my 8th time with Winter Poetry (aka Cape May). Traveling light with just two bags. E-mail please or contact on Facebook. Thank you!

Is the hotel near public transporation?

Prepared to take the Philly airport train to 30th Street in Old Philly and then another train to Absecon where I will taxi to the hotel, but I would much rather carpool and help pay for gas/tolls from the airport to the hotel 🙂

    Cheers!

"I cannot express it enough: the writing opportunities that you provide are a GODSEND. We are all so busy in our daily lives–working, caregiving for young and old, surviving our daily challenges–that to have an uninterrupted respite to write and speak only of the craft of writing for a whole weekend is bliss. I truly enjoyed the Winter Getaway and its supportive community." – Karen, Highland Park, NJ
