Carpooling to the 2017 Winter Getaway

December 20, 2016 BY Taylor Coyle

Need a ride? Have an extra space or two in your car? Flying in and looking to rent a car or share expenses on an airport shuttle? Taking public transit and looking to connect with other participants? Comment below to connect with others.

Please note, that over the years participants have often waited until the last minute to use the carpool board. However, the sooner you post, the more likely you are to find someone to share a ride with.

See our Travel Page for information on transportation to the Winter Getaway.

I plan to drive from Warren County, NJ and would like to have a travelling companion or two.

Driving from Manhattan (from NYU Langone Medical Center on First Ave & East 31st) most likely – might end up leaving from home in Westchester – decision can be influenced by who might need a ride, from where & when. Let me know. Sharing cost optional, sharing driving not necessary, glad to help & meet people.

      Hi Steven,

      Where are you in Westchester?

I might be able to offer a ride from (near) Philadelphia. Just would want some gas money. Want to arrive at the hotel before rush hour on Friday and leave for home directly after the Monday luncheon. (However, commuting from Brigantine throughout the weekend.)

Weather permitting, I will be arriving at the Philadelphia airport at 10:10 on Friday morning. If anyone else is arriving around the same time (give or take an hour or two is fine by me!), I’d be happy to share a cab. Just let me know!

Amy, I am not coming in from San Diego until 3pm so that is a little late. My Monday flight is 5pm so the return to PHL may work for you.

        Hi Robert,

Unless something pops up on the Carpool Board in the next few days, I think I may rent a car instead of taking a cab. The cost would actually be less than cab fare both ways. If that’s the route I go, you’re welcome to ride back to the airport with me on Monday.

Hi AMY and all, I arrive in Philly at around 3pm Friday and have a rental car. Happy to share ride, would appreciate cost sharing. I depart the conference to Wilmington DE, so would not be going back thru Philly until 17 Jan.

Thanks for the offer, Seanan! I have a car rented, so I am all set.

I should arrive at the Philadelphia airport at 5:08 p.m. tomorrow. Does anyone else arrive at a similar time and want to share a cab?
