More for 2020
Seaview
As many of you may know, Seaview recently underwent intensive renovations, including every single guest room. (Carpets and all!) It’s sleeker, brighter and more comfortable, yet still pays tribute to its historic roots.
New Faculty
In addition to Yusef and Denise, our new faculty to welcome include Joe Costal, Paul Lisicky, Tom McAllister and Lisa Romeo.
Scholarships
As the Jan-ai Scholarship program ended, we were able to acquire a scholarship from the U.S.1 Poets’ Cooperative, which will fund a writer aged 30 or under. Details will be available by September 1. Learn more about scholarship opportunities.
Sampler Reboot
The fiction portion of the Creative Writing Sampler has a new leader, Joe Costal. Also, the poetry portion will be extended to a full day instead of a half day.
Sharing Room
Our “Sharing Room” will be back! This unhosted, informal setting offers even more opportunities to share your writing with fellow participants.
Faculty Publications
We are thrilled to say that many of our faculty have published new work or have books forthcoming, which we will sell at the Getaway Bookstore.
We look forward to seeing you in January.
