Scholarships are being offered for first-time participants of the 31st annual Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway writers’ conference.

Galloway, NJ (Atlantic City area)
Recipients may choose from workshops in fiction, memoir, creative nonfiction, poetry, songwriting and storytelling. In addition to workshops, the conference also offers plentiful writing time, open mics, yoga, dancing at the Getaway Disco and more.
We have three different types of scholarships available:
- Faculty Memorial Scholarship – In memory of our Getaway faculty, seats will be offered to writers ages 18+.
x - Community Memorial Scholarship – In memory of our beloved Murphy Writing participants and community members, seats will be offered to writers ages 18+.
x - Robert Hayden Scholarship – Writers of color ages 18+ are invited to simultaneously apply for this opportunity along with the opportunities listed above.
