We’re pleased to present our Special Guests for the 2015 Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway: Stephen Dunn and Kim Addonizio. Stephen and Kim will both lead special sessions of the Advanced Poetry Workshop. The 22nd Annual Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway, a writers’ conference near Atlantic City, NJ, will take place January 16-19, 2015.
Stephen Dunn
Stephen Dunn is the author of eighteen volumes of poetry including his latest, Lines of Defense, published in 2014. His previous books include Different Hours, which was awarded the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, and Here and Now (2011), both from W.W. Norton. Stephen has received awards and fellowships from American Academy of Arts and Letters, The Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, Poetry Magazine, NJ State Council on the Arts, Poetry Northwest, Mid-American Review and many others. A new and expanded edition of his book of essays, Walking Light, was published in 2001. He is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Creative Writing at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, but spends most of his time in Frostburg, Maryland, with his wife, the writer Barbara Hurd.

Kim Addonizio
Kim Addonizio is an acclaimed poet, novelist and short story writer. Her new story collection, The Palace of Illusions, is being published by Counterpoint/Soft Skull in September 2014. She is the author of five books of poetry, two novels from Simon & Schuster, and two books on writing, The Poet’s Companion and Ordinary Genius (W.W. Norton). Her poetry collection Tell Me was a finalist for the National Book Award. Addonizio’s work has been honored with a Guggenheim Fellowship, two NEA Fellowships, the John Ciardi Lifetime Achievement Award and Pushcart Prizes in both poetry and the essay.
