The Forest and the Trees:
Writing Poems in a Series
Writing Workshop in New Jersey
January 13-16, 2023
Led by Nancy Reddy
Whether the poems are joined by content, form or craft technique, working in a series can help you see the forest for the trees and overcome the hurdle of what to write next. (It’s also just a fun challenge!) This workshop will include discussion of sample poems, generative exercises and time to write fresh takes on a topic that matters to you. You will also share your work and develop plans to revise it. You are welcome to bring poems you would like to grow into a series or use this workshop to plant seeds for something new; either way, you will leave with a promising set of drafts and tons of directions for future writing.
*Limited to just 10 participants.*
“I had such a great time and left feeling exhausted and rejuvenated, with my luggage full of new poems, books and a renewed excitement. I’ve heard so many great things about the Getaway, but no praise equaled the experience.”
~ Stacey, Fresno, CA
